Basketball Recap: Springer Takes a Loss

Springer suffered their closest defeat since November 23, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Maxwell Bears by a score of 71-68. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Springer dropped their record down to 6-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Maxwell, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-1.

Springer will be playing in front of their home fans against New Mexico School for the Deaf at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Maxwell, they will challenge Roy/Mosquero at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Roy/Mosquero will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Maxwell surely won't give up without a fight.
