Volleyball Recap: DSST: Cedar Comes Up Short

DSST: Cedar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Manual Thunderbolts. The Falcons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Thunderbolts from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

DSST: Cedar was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Manual work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-18, 25-17.

Manual can attribute much of their success to Savannah Hogarth, who had eight aces. That's the most aces Hogarth has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Martinez, who had 11 assists and three aces.

DSST: Cedar's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Manual, they moved to 2-9 with that win, which also ended their six-match losing streak.

DSST: Cedar wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against DSST: Conservatory Green on the 2nd. As for Manual, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against DSST: Green Valley Ranch on the 2nd.
