Baseball Recap: Florence Comes Up Short

Florence fell victim to Crowley County and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 19-0 to the Chargers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The defeat continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Chargers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Florence saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Finn Phillips, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Phillips' first of the season.

Florence's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Crowley County, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Florence has already played their next game, an 18-8 defeat against Colorado Springs Christian on the 4th. As for Crowley County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 21-6 win against Ellicott on the 7th.
