Basketball Game Preview: McComb Panthers vs. Arlington Red Devils

The McComb Panthers will wrap up 2025 with a road trip to face off against the Arlington Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McComb will be strutting in after a victory while Arlington will be coming in after a loss.

Last Saturday, McComb didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Fort Jennings, but they still walked away with a 44-40 win. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Musketeers: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Arlington came up short against Ottoville on Saturday and fell 55-42. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while the Big Green are ranked 140th).

McComb now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Arlington, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Everything went McComb's way against Arlington in their previous meeting back in January, as McComb made off with a 52-27 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
