            Softball Recap: Steeleville Warriors vs. Marissa/Coulterville Meteors        
        
		
        
        
            Steeleville dropped their record down to 7-9 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against  the Marissa/Coulterville Meteors, falling  16-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss the Warriors have suffered  since April 14th.
  Zoey Wolf was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Karsen Wedemeyer, who  went 1-for-4 with two  runs and one  double.
As for Marissa/Coulterville, the  win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-4. The result was nothing new for the Meteors, who have now won ten games by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 On Marissa/Coulterville's side,  Maci McLaughlin was  incredible,  going 1-for-4 with one  home run and three  RBI. That's the most  RBI  McLaughlin has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kennedy Trieb, who  went 2-for-4 with three  runs and one  double.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Steeleville will face off against Nashville at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Marissa/Coulterville, they will challenge New Athens at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
