Grafton had won 15 straight games and Taylor Ragland did her part to make it 16 on Friday. The Grafton Clippers came out on top against the Hopewell Blue Devils by a score of 57-44 for which the team can thank Ragland, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Grafton's points.

Another player making a difference was Nathalia McIntyre, who posted six points and five assists. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Hopewell lost, don't look at Erin Edmonds HV17. Despite the final result, she shot 64% from beyond the arc on her way to 28 points along with eight boards and five steals. Edmonds HV17 has been hot for a while, having posted 23 or more points the last 12 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dionne Morris, who scored two points and five rebounds.

Grafton pushed their record up to 21-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Hopewell, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 15-5 record.

Grafton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-29 victory against Brentsville District on the 4th. As for Hopewell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 94-70 defeat against James Monroe on the 4th.
