Volleyball Recap: Frontier Falcons vs. Starpoint Spartans
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lancaster, Frontier was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Starpoint Spartans , sneaking past 3-2. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.
Frontier wouldn't go down easily and took Starpoint into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-14, 25-20, 16-25, 15-12.
Frontier found their leader in underclassman Briauna Ochs, who had 16 digs and 38 assists. Ochs is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 22 or more in the last 18 games she's played dating back to last season.
Frontier has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Starpoint, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3-1.
Frontier will venture away from home to take on Sweet Home at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Starpoint, they will welcome Williamsville East at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
