After a string of three wins, the Dixie Hornets's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a serious blow against McCormick, falling 55-28. Dixie has struggled against McCormick recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Dixie had strong showings from Jaylia Turner, who scored 13 points, and Hannah Carter, who scored nine points.
Dixie's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for McCormick, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6.

The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Ware Shoals is ranked 268th, while Dixie is ranked 251st). As for McCormick, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Whitmire at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
