Volleyball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Dalton Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-18, 25-15.

Brooklynn Marshall paced Washington's offense, picking up four kills. Marshall got some help from Brooklen Fichter and her ten assists. Finally, Rylee Adams kept Washington's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Chloe Ruehling was the offensive standout of the game as she had 15 digs. Ruehling is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Dalton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Washington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Garfield on the 28th. As for Dalton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Chippewa on the 26th.
