Basketball Game Preview: Cameron Yellow Jackets vs. Clayton Bulldogs

Cameron and Clayton are an even 3-3 against one another since November of 2015, but not for long. The Cameron Yellow Jackets will head out on the road to face off against the Clayton Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cameron hasn't scored more than 24 points for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Last Tuesday, Cameron took a blow against Smithville, falling 60-24. While losing is never fun, the Yellow Jackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 288th, while the Braves are ranked 31st).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Clayton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Leflore out 43-40. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Clayton's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Cameron, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-6.

Cameron lost to Clayton on the road by a decisive 51-33 margin when the teams last played back in January. Can Cameron avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
