York faced Lyons in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Dukes came out on top against the Lions by a score of 2-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Dukes, who have now won six contests in a row.

York not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Lyons between 14 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-14.

Hunter Stepanich paced York's offense, picking up nine kills. Stepanich got some help from Carson Cruver and his 20 assists. Finally, Joe McGreal kept York's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

York's record is now 13-3. As for Lyons, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. York will challenge rival Downers Grove North at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lyons is set to square off against their familiar foe Willowbrook at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
