Softball Recap: Mandarin Takes a Loss

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Mandarin was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Atlantic Coast Stingrays. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Stingrays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 back in February.

Mandarin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryleigh Booth, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Mandarin now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Atlantic Coast, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Mandarin didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 18-3 victory against Christ's Church Academy on the 27th. As for Atlantic Coast, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-2 win against Fletcher on the 27th.
