Baseball Game Preview: Macomb Bombers vs. Camp Point Central Panthers

The Macomb Bombers will square off against the Camp Point Central Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Macomb is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Brimfield just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 8-3 to the Indians.

Macomb saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Langdon Lambert, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Camp Point Central narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Liberty 6-5.

Collin Likes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned runs on 11 hits.

On the hitting side, Garrett Neisen was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Colton Cooley was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Macomb's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Camp Point Central, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
