Softball Recap: Canyon Lake Takes a Loss

Canyon Lake lost against Davenport back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Canyon Lake came up short against Davenport, falling 9-1. The matchup marked Canyon Lake's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Canyon Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Davenport, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6-1 record this season.

Canyon Lake is taking a road trip to challenge Fredericksburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Canyon Lake's pitchers better be ready for this one: Fredericksburg has averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Davenport, they and Bandera will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Davenport is facing Bandera at the right time seeing as Bandera is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
