Volleyball Recap: Fyffe Comes Up Short

Fyffe and Lauderdale County squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Fyffe had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2020.

Fyffe's loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 31-11. As for Lauderdale County, they have been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-16 record this season.

Fyffe didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Holly Pond on the 22nd. As for Lauderdale County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Carbon Hill on the 22nd.
