Basketball Game Preview: Regis Ramblers vs. McDonell Central Macks

Regis is 0-10 against McDonell Central since February of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Regis Ramblers will square off against the McDonell Central Macks at 7:15 p.m.

Last Monday, Regis came up short against Cameron and fell 58-50. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Ramblers came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Comets are ranked 159th).

Meanwhile, McDonell Central was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Thorp 59-27. That looming 59-27 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Macks yet this season.

McDonell Central pushed their record up to 7-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Regis, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4.

Regis couldn't quite finish off McDonell Central in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 and fell 42-39. Can Regis avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
