Recap: St. Henry Redskins vs. St. John's Bluejays

After a string of 13 wins, the St. Henry Redskins's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were dealt a 74-41 defeat at the hands of St. John. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points St. Henry has scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why St. Henry lost, one person who can't be blamed is Evan Bowers. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Bowers has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last ten times he's played. Caden Bergman was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.

St. Henry's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-4. As for St. John's, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2.

St. Henry and Van Wert will face off at 5:30 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. St. Henry is facing Van Wert at the right time seeing as Van Wert is stuck on a eight-game losing streak. As for St. John's, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Dunbar at 1:30 p.m. on February 10th. Hopefully St. John's is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Ohio (they are ranked 78th, while Dunbar is ranked 217th).
