Basketball Recap: Paintsville Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight

Paintsville came tearing into Saturday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 66-47 victory over the Russell Red Devils. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Red Devils back in December of 2024, they had to take a 62-59 loss.

Russell's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabe Pridemore, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 13 points. Caleb Rimmer was another key player, going 5 of 10 en route to 10 points and eight boards.
