Soccer Game Preview: Kingfisher vs. McLoud

The Kingfisher Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to take on the McLoud Redskins at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Kingfisher barely beat Harding Fine Arts the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Yellowjackets never let the Fire Hawks get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory on Tuesday. Considering Kingfisher's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McLoud). They put the hurt on ASTEC Charter with a sharp 10-0 win last Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for McLoud in their matchups with ASTEC Charter: they've now won five in a row.

Kingfisher picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-5. As for McLoud, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Kingfisher got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against McLoud by a conclusive 5-0 score. Will the Yellowjackets repeat their success, or do the Redskins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
