Basketball Recap: Brownell Talbot Takes a Loss

Brownell Talbot was the 69-44 winner over Parkview Christian when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Brownell Talbot Raiders were just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 57-56 to the Parkview Christian Patriots.

Brownell Talbot lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being John Schinzel, who went 5 for 10 en route to 15 points. Schinzel has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Simon Lim, who posted 12 points and five assists.

Parkview Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Guilherme De-Lima led the charge by going 5 of 8 on his way to 22 points along with five assists and five steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which De-Lima has scored at least a third of Parkview Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Harlem Mcginnis, who scored 14 points and five steals.

Brownell Talbot now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Parkview Christian, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Brownell Talbot has already played their next game (against Boys Town), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Parkview Christian will host Cornerstone Christian School at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Parkview Christian will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
