New Oxford extended their winning streak  to ten  on Friday, bumping them up to 10-0. They blew past the Eastern York Golden Knights 44-20. Considering the Colonials have won six games by more than 21  points this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
New Oxford got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Alex Brown out in front who rushed for 70 yards and one  TD on only seven carries.  Brody Holmes also deserves a mention for his  punt return touchdown.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to New Oxford's defense and their five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by  Travis Covington and  Brogan Klunk, who racked up  four sacks between them. Klunk is also on a roll when it comes to  total tackles, as he's  now  made six or more in each of the last six games he's  played.  Brayden Billman got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
 Special teams was a major factor in the game for New Oxford, racking up 16 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Holmes, who ran a punt back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a kickoff return touchdown from  him.
As for Eastern York, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4. Despite 230 more yards than New Oxford, the Golden Knights couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
 When it comes to explaining why Eastern York lost, don't look at  Quinn Bramble. Despite the final result, he threw for 270 yards and a pair of  touchdowns while completing 74.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 60 yards.
 New Oxford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eastern York, they will host Middletown  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
