Basketball Recap: Wayland Finds Home Court Redemption Against Nipmuc Regional

There's no place like home for Wayland, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They snuck past the Nipmuc Regional Warriors with a 68-63 victory on Monday. The win was all the more spectacular given Wayland's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while Nipmuc Regional is ranked 79th).

Wayland's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Nipmuc Regional, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wayland will host Diman RVT at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nipmuc Regional, they will be playing at home against Worcester Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
