South Fork's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Hoopa Valley Warriors 3-2. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cubs as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

South Fork was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-21, 21-25, 27-25, 15-11.

Hoopa Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Vuunsip E-Kor, who had 13 digs, eight kills, and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last four games she's played. Luella Cosce was another key player, getting 22 digs and two aces.

South Fork's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 7-10. As for Hoopa Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18-1.

Coincidentally, South Fork and Hoopa Valley will both be playing St. Bernard's the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Cubs will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
