Softball Recap: Graford Takes a Loss

If Graford was feeling good fresh off their 17-2 takedown of Pantego Christian on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Graford Rabbits came up short against the Alvarado Indians on Friday, falling 13-7.

Faith Perry was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. She also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Savahannah Martin, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Graford's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Alvarado, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Coming up, Graford will take on Arlington Heights at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Alvarado, they will be taking part in a tournament against Springtown at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Alvarado will aim to continue their five-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
