Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dixon). They put the hurt on the Newburg Wolves with a sharp 79-56 win on Friday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Wolves are ranked 420th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory (which was Dixon's third in a row) raised their record to 6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points over those games. As for Newburg, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-9.

Dixon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newburg, they will head out on the road to face off against Licking at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
