Volleyball Recap: Wando Wins High-Profile Contest Against Cardinal Newman

Wando faced Cardinal Newman in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Warriors came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 2-0. The Warriors were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Cardinals, so the Warriors were just returning the favor.

Wando easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17.

Wando's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Violet Poole led the charge by getting ten digs and two assists.
