Lakewood Ranch finds playoff glory versus Venice

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lakewood Ranch walked away with it. Everything went their way against Venice on Thursday as they made off with a 4-1 victory. Considering Lakewood Ranch has won six matchups by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of Broden Beorlegui and Andrew Scott, who scored both of Lakewood Ranch's goals. The pair have combined for a total of two so far this season.

Lakewood Ranch is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Venice, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9-2.

Lakewood Ranch will face off against Riverview Sarasota at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverview Sarasota will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Venice does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
