Basketball Recap: Berwick Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Berwick extended their road winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Azyria Garrison. The Berwick Panthers came out on top against Ascension Episcopal by a score of 37-27 on Monday thanks in part to Garrison, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 16 rebounds. Her evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Jalin Ramagos, who posted two points. What's more, she also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in November of 2023.

Berwick has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.4 points per game. As for Ascension Episcopal, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

The future could be bright for both Berwick and Ascension Episcopal: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Berwick will try to hand Centerville their fourth-straight loss when the two meet at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Ascension Episcopal will look to extend Gueydan's 21-game losing streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
