Volleyball Recap: Southridge Comes Up Short

Southridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Vincennes Lincoln Alices. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Southridge started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-13, 15-8.

Southridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Vincennes Lincoln, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southridge will challenge Pike Central at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Vincennes Lincoln, they will take on Castle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Alices surely won't give up without a fight.
