Volleyball Recap: Cara Hill and Camden Nelson Secure Win for Thornwell

Thornwell saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Edisto Cougars. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Saints.

Thornwell never let Edisto on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-23.

Leading Thornwell to victory were Camden Nelson and Cara Hill. Nelson had five aces, while Hill had six aces. Those six aces gave Hill a new career-high.

Thornwell's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Thornwell will face off against Mid-Carolina at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Edisto, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Allendale-Fairfax at 6:45 p.m. on the 26th.
