Baseball Recap: Dallas Academy Takes a Loss

Dallas Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 6-3 to the Trinity Christian Academy Warriors.

Josh Maki was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He struck out 14 batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off only two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

Dallas Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Dallas Academy has already played their next game, a 16-6 loss against St. Paul's Prep on the 14th. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-1 defeat against Harvest Christian Academy on the 11th.
