Basketball Recap: Houston County Comes Up Short

Houston County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a 66-36 loss at the hands of the Veterans Warhawks. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 342nd, while the Warhawks are ranked 80th).

Houston County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Veterans, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

When Houston County and Veterans next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Houston County will try to stop Lee County's three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Veterans will square off against Coffee and their seven-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
