Cardinal Newman had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Northside Christian Academy Crusaders on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now won seven in a row.

Khylie Remmenga paced Cardinal Newman's offense, picking up six kills. Remmenga got some help from Lauren Rivers and her 16 assists. Marlee Beckham controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
