Baseball Recap: Chapin Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Chapin and Andress, and Andress kept the tradition alive. The Huskies fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 10-8 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Huskies have suffered since March 6th.

Raymundo Hurtado was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Pablo Ferniza, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple and two RBI.

Chapin has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Andress, their win bumped their record up to 9-11.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Chapin is set to square off against their familiar foe Burges at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Andress will face off against rival Jefferson at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
