There's no place like home for Cobre, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Tularosa Wildcats on Saturday as they made off with a 13-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won 15 games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Bella Saiz made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 11 matches.

In other batting news, Cobre got a big performance out of Alexis Carrillo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one RBI. Those three hits gave Carrillo a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anahi Madrid, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Cobre kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 14 consecutive contests.

Cobre's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Tularosa, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 10-1 and their overall record down to 14-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cobre beat the Wildcats by a score of 12-2 later that day.
