Basketball Recap: Veritas Prep Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Horizon Honors came into Tuesday's match looking for another win against Veritas Prep, but Miles Perry wouldn't allow it. The Veritas Prep Falcons secured a 73-68 W over the Horizon Honors Eagles on Tuesday thanks in part to Perry, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and ten rebounds. Those 35 points gave him a new career-high.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Richie Hewitt V, who went 7 of 14 en route to 17 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Segal, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.

Veritas Prep's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-10. As for Horizon Honors, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8.

Veritas Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 61-46 win against Lincoln Prep on the 22nd. Horizon Honors has also already played their next game, a 74-42 victory against Santa Cruz Valley on the 24th.
