Softball Recap: Tuslaw Triumphs

While Tuslaw's victory against Dalton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Tuslaw came out on top in a nail-biter against Dalton on Thursday, sneaking past 13-11. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Gabby McGowen looked comfortable as she pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gracie Sirgo, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Eiley Bolgiano, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

The win got Tuslaw back to even at 1-1. As for Dalton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Tuslaw will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on GlenOak at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dalton, they will challenge Alliance at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
