Basketball Recap: Aucilla Christian Comes Up Short

Aucilla Christian lost against Eagle's View back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Aucilla Christian Warriors took a blow against the Eagle's View Warriors, falling 73-17. While losing is never fun, Aucilla Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 534th, while Eagle's View is ranked 247th).

Eagle's View was led to victory by Skylar Wilson and Ca'Zaria Britt. Wilson went 8 of 16 on her way to 17 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds, while Britt went 6 for 11 en route to 12 points along with seven steals and five boards. The dominant performance also gave Britt a new career-high in assists (three). Kennedy Jones was another key player, putting up seven points and seven steals.

Aucilla Christian's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Eagle's View, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-8.

Aucilla Christian has already played their next matchup, a 34-18 defeat against Port St. Joe on the 6th. As for Eagle's View, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-44 victory against Impact Christian Academy on the 31st.
