Volleyball Recap: Isle of Wight Academy Takes a Loss

Isle of Wight Academy lost against Brunswick Academy back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Chargers lost 3-0 to the Vikings.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-16, 25-13.

Kirbie Edwards paced Isle of Wight Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Edwards got some help from Christina Petruzalek and her 15 assists. Jacy Jones controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Isle of Wight Academy's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Brunswick Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-2.

Looking ahead, Isle of Wight Academy will take on Atlantic Shores Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Brunswick Academy has already played their next match (against Fuqua), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
