La Villa waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Premont Cowboys a 15-0 shutout. Considering the Cardinals have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

La Villa's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Premont, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, La Villa is taking a road trip to face off against Kaufer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Seahawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.87 runs per game on average), something the Cardinals will no doubt try to take advantage of. Premont does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
