Baseball Recap: Paraclete Extends Winning Streak to Six

Paraclete had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Littlerock Lobos with a sharp 10-3 win.

Carlo Ramirez made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Paraclete is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 11-12 otherwise. Ramirez was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Paraclete let Armando Saucedo and Noah Schneir run wild. Saucedo went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Schneir went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave Schneir a new career-high. Jayden Espindola was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Paraclete kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Paraclete pushed their record up to 14-13 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Littlerock, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-9.

Coming up, Paraclete will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Desert Christian at 3:15 p.m. The Spirits' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. Littlerock does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
