Greenfield is a perfect 3-0 against Epiphany since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Greenfield Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Epiphany Falcons at 4:00 p.m. Greenfield is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.
Greenfield was handed a ten-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Westchester Country Day a 1-0 shutout. The one-run effort marked the Knights' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Not much got past Simon Quinn, who gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks to keep Westchester Country Day off the board. Those six strikeouts gave Quinn a new career-high.
Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Epiphany, as they earned their first road win of the season. They put the hurt on Gramercy Christian with a sharp 9-0 victory on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won three in a row.
The result came thanks to Will Gent's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024.
On the hitting side, Dylan Trent was incredible, going 1-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Andrew Connolly, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.
Greenfield now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Epiphany, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Greenfield has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .506. However, it's not like Epiphany struggles in that department as they've averaged .482. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
