Baseball Recap: Winlock Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rainier, Winlock was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the North Beach Hyaks by a score of 13-8. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cardinals as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Kyrin Meehan was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three doubles.

Winlock was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in six consecutive games.

Winlock's win bumped their record up to 3-13. As for North Beach, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Winlock beat the Hyaks by a score of 16-6 later that day.
