Baseball Recap: Pittsfield Takes a Loss

Pittsfield fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Calhoun on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 6-5. The Saukees were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Pittsfield saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Frazier, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. Hayden Gratton was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Pittsfield's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Calhoun, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Pittsfield didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-3 win against Beardstown on the 9th. As for Calhoun, they have also already played their next contest, a 6-4 victory against Routt Catholic on the 10th.
