Baseball Recap: Fostoria Comes Up Short

Fostoria lost against Lake back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Redmen lost 22-2 to the Flyers. The Redmen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Trent Smith was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Fostoria's defeat dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Lake, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fostoria will square off against Genoa Area at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake, they will take on Woodmore at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Flyers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
