Taft saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was William Espinoza, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Espinoza snagged this season.

Meanwhile, Arvin unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against Ridgeview, falling 13-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bears have suffered since May 6, 2024.

Arvin's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Taft, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Taft has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Arvin struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
