Softball Recap: Nekoosa Papermakers vs. Adams-Friendship Green Devils

Nekoosa extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 4-5 in the process. They lost 10-0 to the Adams-Friendship Green Devils. The Papermakers were not able to make up for their loss to the Green Devils from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

As for Adams-Friendship, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by seven runs or more this season.

For Adams-Friendship's part, Riley Weaver was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Weaver was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Piper Moyer, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kerrigan Danowski, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
