Baseball Recap: Durant's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Durant was the 9-8 winner over Camanche when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats fell just short of the Indians by a score of 5-4 on Friday. The loss was the Wildcats' first of the season.

Colby Gast made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Conner Schwarz also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Durant fell to 4-1. As for Camanche, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Durant will venture away from home to challenge Northeast at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Camanche, they will host Prince of Peace Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
