Softball Recap: Shenandoah Valley's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Shenandoah Valley's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Nativity BVM Green Wave with a sharp 17-5 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Blue Devils' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Maria Castro was a standout: she scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Labosky, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Shenandoah Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .634. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Shenandoah Valley's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. As for Nativity BVM, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
