Basketball Recap: Upper Columbia Academy Comes Up Short

Upper Columbia Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 71-46 to the Genesis Prep Academy Jaguars. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 230th in Washington, while the Jaguars are ranked 107th in Idaho).

Upper Columbia Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Genesis Prep Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Upper Columbia Academy Lions take on the Asotin Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Upper Columbia Academy is facing Asotin at the right time seeing as Asotin is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Genesis Prep Academy, they will square off against Wallace at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
